I'm a professional waxologist and I have to say it happens. You should never be embarrassed by an erection. You'll lose it after the first rip but an erection doesn't always mean sexual feelings, at least its working.

If you go to a waxologist or esty and they leave the room if you should rise, then go somewhere else thats unprofessional.

One thing I noticed is that when you have an erection the hair on the shaft is easier to identify, thus applying the wax to the hair on taut skin vs loose skin would be more thorough.

My esty once did the shaft while it was hard and that was the most cleanedt job I had. Usually i have to tweeze out a few strays on the underside & around the shaft.

Ok, I'm a nudist, heterosexual, fully functioning and have had four male Brazilians.

On the first couple, I was relaxed and flacid. I discussed erections with my aesthetician and if it happened, it wouldn't have been a problem. I went in to the third with the intent of trying to get an erection to tighten the skin to make the sugaring easier, especially on the scrotum. It didn't happen. Perhaps because I'm at ease socially being naked, but also, having a Brazilian isn't a sexual event. If I had an erection, it would be gone with the first removal of hair. OUCH!!!

I always arrive a bit early and ask if I can get naked as soon as possible to cool down my body. That should tighten up the scrotum but Carrie's warm hands and sugar solution soon warm them again. Wink

Enjoy!

I've read about a few individuals who make their esty feel uncomfortable by asking for "additional services" or by "drooling" or even ejaculating. This is partly why so few esties must be willing to offer brazilians for men.

On the other hand, I've also seen in ads offering brazilians that erections are "an adrenal response" and not sexual. If you Google it, you'll find that adrenaline actually works against having an erection. So can it really be an adrenal response? I've also heard that brazilians can't be pleasurable because hair removal is painful, but I know that pain and pleasure go together sometimes.

I've been getting almost a full body wax for a couple of years now. I like the smooth feel and I think it makes me look younger and cleaner. I had some sort of rash (sorry for sharing) in the groin that gradually cleared up after a few months of brazilians. I don't really understand why, but it also seems to have increased my sensation.

I also try to show respect to my esty. We've shared a rare joke about some of the awkwardness of the procedure, but that's about it. I think she feels comfortable enough with me because she's never had me cover up (I'll be naked for almost two hours sometimes) and because she's said I'm one of her favorite clients...I think she was being honest.

I've had the impression that it's uncool to experience any sensual feelings about having a Brazilian and I'm wondering for how many guys this is actually possible. Do they deactivate some nerves somehow? I'm circumcised and the only strong nerve sensation I have is on the underside scar tissue, but I definitely have a pleasurable sensation when this is getting waxed.

So I guess I'm wondering, does this bother the esties here or is it considered natural? Does it matter how we're feeling or how we're behaving? I'd rather not switch to shaving.

I don't think we really care "how you are feeling"...now, how you are behaving? Absolutely. If a guy is laying on my table getting waxed, and has something going on in his mind, who cares, as long as he doesn't act upon it.. Again, we are professionals. Who's to say we don't find attraction to certain guys we're waxing? I know I have. But acting on it is a whole different ball game (excuse the pun)..

Just find a good waxologist, treat her with respect, and appreciate that you have found this person.

I "drooled" as well! She didn't even skip a beat other than the occasional wise crack. "You really are enjoying this, aren't you?" ect. She is funny, and complrtely comfortable with both herself and my body. I wasn't really embarassed, just sort of suprised at how comfy she was with me "drooling"

I'm glad I don't "drool" and I'd be embarrassed if I did. I hope it's not that common.

I always get an erection while getting A BRAZILIAN! My esty hasn't ever said anything negative to me about my erect penis, and is always gentle with my penis, erect or not. I think any esty who is confident in themselves and their waxing abilities would never shame their customer for getting an erection. Of course personally, if I am about to "drool" I let my esty know so she can get a towel over the area before it happens. She has even commented at times on how much easier it is to wax me with an erection. Very Happy

Coffee is right, adrenaline does work against an erection.
Adrenaline sends the blood supply from other organs to the muscles and heart so you can run away from danger.
However, there are many "adrenal" hormones, the adrogens, aldostorone, corticoids, just to name a few.
The adrenal hormone that causes the erection is an agonist to adrenaline, related to blood flow that is non sexual and causes an errection.
to sum it up: not all things adrenal are adrenaline, and erections do not have to end in ejaculation.

What is important is that not all errections are sexual in nature and that ejaculation is never excused, normal or acceptable during a waxing service.
Unfortunately, there is an idiot or two saying that ejaculation is normal and acceptable when it is not.
The ramification of this MYTH-INFORMATION is many will choose not to preform the service.
The down side of trying to explain something on the internet is that it takes on a life of its own and is misused.
"A little bit of knowlege is a dangerous thing." I had no idea this information was being abused all over the place. Embarassed

... so I was getting waxed and the esti was working on the shaft. She put something on it to deaden the feelings and take away the sting. I was semi hard and trying mentally to not be hard. At one point I suddenly started feeling weird and realized that I was going to orgasm. I stopped her for a few seconds then she continued and I was fine. This was totally undesired and unexpected, but if it had happened I would have been SO embarrassed. I'm not a perv, but I'm sure she would have thought I was. I haven't been back because I'm afraid it might happen.

Does this happen? And do you always treat the guy like a perv?

What's the right way to respond if it happens other than to apologize profusely?

I went in for my first brazilian waxing last week. I got an erection almost immediately. I apologized and she said not to worry as it is actually better for both of us. It makes the waxing easier for her and less painful for me. My erection lasted pretty much the entire session. It was no big deal and I'm really pleased with the results and it wasn't nearly as painful as I thought it would be. I'll be going back in 6 weeks.

I've been getting monthly brazilians for a couple years now. I found a well-recommended, experienced in male brazilians, esthy for my first time and I've never seen the need to go to anyone else.

That said, I just never know what's going to happen when I'm in there. Most of the times I get a half-erection which is perfect because it makes the shaft waxing easier for both of us, but it's not uncomfortable for me from a control standpoint and it's not uncomfortable for her because I'm not obviously throbbing at her, so that's seemed to be well within her expectations and we chat amicably throughout, no big deal. I don't try to soften up because a) I'm not out of control and b) it's making the job easier and c) she doesn't seem to mind.

Occasionally, I get no erection at all, which makes the shaft waxing painful and difficult and can result in broken hairs, strays, or ingrowns.

Once or twice I've had the full, throbbing erection for no reason. No idea why this happens. I certainly don't like the feeling of having wax ripped off my bits, that's for sure! I think it's just...being touched there...on that day...the barometric pressure...the phase of the moon? It just happens. She's never seemed upset by it, but it sure is weird to have a throbbing erection while you're thinking "Dammit, this hurts. When's it going to end?". I can tell you, I'm certainly not one of those "enjoys pain" types.

I usually don't drool, but I have a few times. Again, that hasn't seemed to bother her, although it's very embarrassing to me. I really feel the need to treat her professionally and I feel bad when I apparently don't have myself under control. One of the drooling incidents she kind of contributed to (by inadvertantly leaving a warm hand on my penis while she fiddled with her wax pot), but others she didn't.
