Anyone have a few ingrown hairs after waxing? After the first treatment I had I had a few but since I changed my bath scrubbing towel (the coarse japanese kind) there have been none. The coarseness of the towel take a little getting used to but now I dont feel truly clean without using it. This is the one...

I looked these up, but I could only find a long one almost 3' long. Has anyone tried the spa cloth sold on ebay, much more pricy, but available in a 12" x 12" washcloth. I went ahead and ordered one, but for $20 shipped it better be good.

You can buy the small course wash clothes at Walmart for about a $1.00. They are perfect for exfoliating, cheap and easy to find.

Here in Texas they are found in the cosmetics section.

Oh and another thing you can do is use a product that will exfoliate the skin. I have one in my clinic called "Get the Bump Outta Here"...there are others, Tend Skin is pretty good. They are soothing after waxing too.

I have tendskin and use it when I start to see some ingrowns. What I don't like about it, other than the price, is that it is aspirin based and very thin. It would be easier to use if it was a cream instead. I does work though, as it seems to basically dissolve away the upper layer of skin cells.

I got my spa cloth in the mail today, so I will give it a try tomorrow. It is nice, very coarse, but seeing as how I get so many ingrowns, that is what I need.

Although Tend Skin is good... it is far too harsh. Try something like PFB Vanish... it contains, salisylic acid, lactic acid, and glycolic acid. It moisturizes as well as exfoliates and is gentle enough to use on the face.

Thanks, I acually just ordered some PFB Vanish yesterday and am waiting for it to arrive. I like the fact that it is a roll on also, as it should have a lot less waste.

The most important thing to remember when using PFB is not to apply a moisturizer over top. Use the PFB for the first 4 days after waxing, then cut it down to every other day. On the day that you aren't using the PFB you need to moisturize. Once you see the hairs starting to pop through the surface, you only need to exfoliate with pfb twice a week, but keep up with the moisurizing.

I have tried PFB Vanish and have found it does a great job. Definitely more effective than tendskin. Very Happy
